Elizabeth Gonsalves attended the University of California, at Berkeley for her undergraduate education. There, she double majored and received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, and a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric. Ms. Gonsalves went on to attend law school at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California where she received her Juris Doctorate degree. In June 2007, Ms. Gonsalves was sworn in as a licensed attorney and member of the California Bar.
Ms. Gonsalves focused her practice on Real Property law, Contract law, and Tort law relating to personal injury cases for several years before turning to work in tax resolution, legal services. Ms. Gonsalves has spent several years representing taxpayers as a taxpayer advocate by virtue of IRS Circular 230 before the federal government and numerous states in negotiating settlement of tax liabilities, lien subordinations, Appeals hearings, and in successfully arguing against the assessment of fraud penalties on behalf of her clients. She has extensive experience representing clients having large dollar tax liabilities in excess of $3 million dollars. Ms. Gonsalves interned at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, Construction Division before being hired on a full time basis with Land Developers & Associates, a multi-million dollar corporation in the business of acquiring vacant land for purposes of constructing large scale residential home development in the Greater Los Angeles area.
